A Consumer is someone seeking advice or guidance via ShowMe Exchange.

A Provider is someone with skills and knowledge who provides advice or guidance via ShowMe Exchange.

To register interest as a Consumer, go to: www.showmeexchange.com/contact/. We have an Early Adopters Program running now and will be opening this up to new users shortly. We would love to hear from you!

There are an array of jobs, advice and guidance you can receive via ShowMe Exchange. Ultimately the Provider will seek to understand your requirements and determine if the job can be done via ShowMe (noting there are licencing requirements and building codes).

Typically, handyperson jobs, creative projects, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance tasks and general advice fall into the remit of ShowMe Exchange Tier 1 activities. Jobs that are required to be undertaken by a licensed professional (I.e. electrical work, gas plumbing, construction etc.) are not permitted via ShowMe Exchange. 

  • A job you would like advice or assistance with remotely
  • A smartphone or tablet
  • Access to the internet
  • You do not need to provide any credit details to sign up – you can post a job for free and wait to hear from Providers before deciding if you would like to proceed with the quote.

Yes! You can use ShowMe Exchange on both Apple (iOS) and Android devices, including tablets and ipads.

Posting a job is simple in the ShowMe Exchange platform:

  1. Open the ‘ShowMe’ app
  2. Press the Green magnification icon
  3. Follow the four-step process to upload your job
  4. Receive quotes from Providers
  5. Select the Provider and schedule a video call
  6. Complete the job and leave a review

Payment, scheduling, messaging, and video are seamlessly integrated into the ShowMe app.

Online safety is important to us and at the forefront of our minds. When you sign up for a ShowMe Exchange account, you need to do a two-factor authentication. The ShowMe app uses Stripe software to manage all the app’s financial transactions, including all credit/debit card payments for Consumers and bank account information for Providers.
