Andrew has been a practising Urban & Regional Planner for 17 years and is an Accredited Professional (Planning) in South Australia. He holds both planning and architectural qualifications and uses his planning and design skills to negotiate the complexities of the planning and building regulatory system on a day to day basis with a well-rounded approach to any given project.

Andrew began his professional career in a planning & design role for the South Rd / Port Road Grade Separation project at the Department for Transport, and has worked as a planner (including in senior positions) in a number of Local Government planning authorities for the majority of the 15 years prior to taking on the position of Development and Technical Manager at Master Builders SA (MBASA), which he has held for the last 2 years, while continuing to operate his planning and design consultancy, AcroPLAN[SA].

Through his private consultancy Andrew has also been involved in planning, design and project management of a wide range of developments over the last 8 years. Since joining MBASA Andrew has provided development and technical advice to members, updated training manuals, co-ordinated and delivered seminars and training, been an advisor on the MBASA Housing Committee, coordinates the MBASA Technical Committee and represents MBASA on the MBA National Technical Committee and National Building Regulation Committee. Andrew also participates in forums with State Government in improving the planning and building regulatory system and advocates industry interests with any changes in the regulatory environment.
